Mediante un comunicado en su página web, David Prowse canceló las visitas programadas para el último trimestre de este año, los países donde se iba a presentar son: Canadá, Chile, Perú y Australia. Sin embargo mantiene sus fechas en Francia, Suecia (ambos en noviembre) y fin de año en Suiza. la cancelación es debido a una lesión en su pierna derecha lo que tendrá que ser intervenido, en el comunicado se expresa que es primera vez en 30 años que cancela actividades.
MESSAGE FROM DAVE ABOUT CANCELLATIONS
It is with regret that I am going to cancel various appearances that I have agreed to make between now and the new year. As you are aware I have been having serious problems with my right leg for well over a year and have been fulfilling my commitments on crutches. Although I have had two major operations on my hip and knee my mobility problems have deteriorated and to make it worse I travel alone. This is the first time in 30 years of appearing at conventions world wide that I have ever had to make a cancellation and I apologise sincerely to convention promoters and to the Darth Vader fans. Hope you all understand.

La visita de Prowse estaba enmarcada en el evento Star Fans, a realizarse en noviembre en Viña del Mar. Aún no tenemos comunicado oficial de la productora EXP, responsables del evento, para saber si la cancelación cambia los planes de la convención o algunas otras novedades. Ante futuras noticias estaremos informando oportunamente.
